An Answer To Every Question

Zinc is an app and protocol, that uses the power of blockchain technology to create a new user-centric digital advertising protocol, that will increase the efficiency of ads presented to users, reduce ineffective advertising spend, increase monetization of developers’ digital real estate – all while helping mitigate fraud. Zinc protocol empowers users to share their data and get more rewards when viewing ads on their favorite apps.

As a user, the Zinc Wallet app will allow you to choose what information you want to share with advertisers, and get more rewards for the ads you watch in the apps you already use. The rewards will be spent to reduce ads as well as to access premium content and features inside all apps that are members of the Zinc Protocol ecosystem.

Zinc aims to improve the existing ecosystem from within, rather than reinventing it: the Zinc ecosystem welcomes and will benefit all existing participants of online advertising – users, publishers, advertisers, agencies and networks alike. The Zinc protocol will allow for the ecosystem to evolve while supporting existing players & common practices, with an added layer of trust enabled by allowing the users to choose the information they share with advertisers. All this while the users continue watching ads in their favorite mobile apps while getting more rewards.

Zinc was founded by Daniel Trahtemberg, former Head of Mobile Fraud Prevention and Director of the Mobile Data Management Platform at IronSource. The company is located in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

The Zinc token will be used by advertisers, app developers and ad networks to reward users for sharing their information and viewing ads on the user’s favourite apps. The users will gain tokens and spend them to get more rewards – unlocking premium content and features on their favourite apps.

From the user perspective – the Zinc token is meant to significantly increase the value of users’ attention, time and engagement; and allow them to increase their rewards for the data they share and to use such in apps that are part of the ecosystem. All this while allowing them to have control over their personal data. 
From the business perspective – using Zinc tokens as means to buy and manage digital advertising will allow full transparency and trust between all players and will increase the security by mitigating advertising fraud.

The Zinc tokens earned by users are intended to be used to improve the in-app experience in all apps that are members of the ecosystem. 
Users will be able to use Zincs get reward multipliers and in the future – get premium content, subscriptions, personalized ads experience, and reduce amount of overall ads shown to the user.

The cost of fraud and data inefficiencies in the online advertising ecosystem is projected to surpass $100 billion dollars by 2020. Zinc aims to redistribute these lost funds between honest actors in the ecosystem:


Advertisers will re-allocate marketing budget to purchase Zincs and get better targeting. 
App developers will get and use Zincs to improve advertising monetization practices and improve users’ experience. 
Ad networks will re-allocate budgets to purchase Zincs and get a better, reliable source of compliant first party user data – similar of using PMPs (private marketplaces) today. 
Users will get Zincs for sharing their data, and spend them in their favorite apps & sites.

The Zinc Wallet app will have a list of all apps that are members of the Zinc ecosystem, in which you’ll be able to spend and get Zinc tokens. 
Also – all Zinc supported apps will have a login prompt on first use so the user can use his Zinc tokens.

Our leading design partner is ironSource – one of the biggest ad networks in the world for mobile advertising, reaching more that 1.5 billion users a month and integrated into tens of thousands of apps. Zinc SDK will be offered to ironSource publishers as an out of the box ready to use tool – this will allow an easy and fast onboard integration of a large amount of partners into the ecosystem. 
In parallel of the ironSource integration process we are reaching additional ad-networks and publishers to integrate the Zinc SDK. Our vision is allow any player of the advertising industry to be part of the Zinc Protocol.

The first version of the Zinc Protocol and Wallet app is planned to be released on Q1-2019. 
This first release will only be available for a small amount of publishers and a selected targeted audience of users – subscribe here if you want to be the first to know once we’re live.

There will be no public sale of the Zinc tokens.

Users will get a preloaded amount of Zinc tokens into their Wallets upon installation. This amount will allow early adopters to have a significant amount of Zinc tokens to spend on apps that are members of the Zinc ecosystem. The amount of Zinc tokens that will be preloaded on to a user’s wallets will decrease in time, benefiting early adopters from being part of the creation of the ecosystem.
